WELCOME!
My desire to encourage older adults, to stay mentally active, motivated me to choose "It's never too late!" as a tag line to this website. If only one visitor to this site takes up a new hobby, or tries something mentally challenging, or travels somewhere new, than I will have accomplished my goal.
If you recently made a fresh start, or tried something you've always wanted to do, I am anxious to hear your story. Perhaps someone else needs to hear it, too!
I started my undergraduate studies after high school, through the State University of New York at New Paltz. More than three decades later, I enrolled in Empire State College's (SUNY) distance learning program, to finish my degree. (I will have my bachelor of science degree completed in June 2016.)
As a requirement for a college course I took in May 2015, it was necessary for this sixty-something, grandmother to learn the newest digital storytelling tools. One of my first assignments was to create a story blog, where I posted all of my digital stories. I created the story blog strictly for classroom purposes, but you can view it at: https://caroldavis114blog.wordpress.com
Silver and Savvy was created by a beginner who never studied web design. Weebly.com made it possible for me to create this site for free.
